Pakistan Institute of Professional Studies is affiliated with Abbottabad University of Science and
Technology under registration number AUST/Reg/Acad/2019/0158. AUST Pakistan is one of the most
established and world-recognized Universities. Being a reputed university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Pakistan.PIPS is registered with the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) KPK Pakistan which is an
autonomous body, mandated “to streamline, supervise and regulate the functioning of the degree level private
institutions” under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Registration and Functioning of Private Educational
Institutions Ordinance, 2001 KPK. The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan accredits PIPS with the
registration number F. No: 2-7/2009-PCP. The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan is a professional body responsible
for registering pharmacists and promoting pharmacy education in the country. The Pharmacy
Council Pakistan (PCP) is the regulator established in terms of the Pharmacy Act, 1967 to regulate
pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel, and pharmacy premises in Pakistan with the mandate to protect,
promote, and maintain the health, safety, and well-being of patients and the public who use pharmaceutical
services in Pakistan

PROGRAM PHARM “D”
Pharm. D is an undergraduate five-year degree program for those who are interested in pursuing a career
in the field of health and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students with a medical background can opt for
this degree fulfilling the admission criteria. During their stay at PIPS, the students study various subjects
and go through practical training to qualify for the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy. This degree is
recognized by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and is widely accepted nationally and internationally.
The graduates can fill the increasing demand for retail, Hospital, and Industrial pharmacists and they can
join the government and research organizations.

practical work in the state-of-the-art. Our laboratories are fully equipped to carry out practical
work and undertake research. Furthermore, these labs are adaptable, reconfigurable, and
modular, making them ideally suited for research in a wide range of fields to understand
the fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
